The crown for the 2024 Miss Hibiscus pageant has been expertly crafted by the Royal jewelry designer for Her Majesty Queen Nanasipau’u of the Kingdom of Tonga. Maria Yang, a talented jewelry designer and contemporary artist, has handcrafted the luxurious vintage Swarovski and Pearl Crown. The exquisite piece features a finish of alloy, along with silver and gold plating.
With credentials as a certified emerald appraiser through the Hong Kong Jewelry Institute, Yang is also known for her research on colored gemstones and is a member of the China Collectors Association. She is the founder of ‘Star Wisdom’ Jewelry and ‘Cheese de Mars.’ Since 2019, Yang has made her home on the stunning Pacific Island of Tonga, where she serves as the Royal jewelry designer for Queen Nanasipau’u.
