Fiji’s heavyweight boxing champion James ‘The Beast’ Singh is set to defend his title against Semi Dauloloma at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka on Saturday, August 31. Singh has expressed confidence in his preparation, stating he is ready to enter the ring and protect his title.
On the other hand, Dauloloma aims to replicate his success from June, when he defeated Singh in the second round to win the Leweni Waqa Memorial belt. Both fighters have one victory each over the other, making this upcoming match crucial for determining the ultimate winner.
Promoter Samir Khan of Bluewater Boxing Promotions is committed to helping the victor improve their world rankings, with plans to match them against top international opponents.
The main event will feature local boxer Junior Binnu Singh competing against Krishnil Mudaliar for the WBF (World Boxing Foundation) Australasian featherweight title. Mudaliar confirmed earlier this week that he has successfully made the 57-kilogram weight limit and plans to maintain this weight leading up to the fight.
Additionally, there will be other notable matches, including a cruiserweight bout between veteran Savenaca Naliva and Sikeli Senidoko, as well as Ronald Naidu facing Rakuro Dauvavana.
