The THEN India Sanmarga Ikya (TISI) Sangam Fiji has initiated a consultation process to review its constitution. This information was shared by TISI Sangam’s national president, Parveen Kumar Bala. He noted that while there have been minor amendments made to the original constitution, the current version is inadequate for effectively managing an organization like Sangam Fiji in today’s context.

Bala expressed the importance of updating the constitution, stating that it hampers the organization’s ability to function properly. To facilitate the review, a three-member committee has been formed, led by Mr. Shalend Krishna from Lautoka. This committee is actively traveling across the country to gather feedback from members, and Bala is pleased to see members contributing to this process. He emphasized the necessity of establishing clear rules to enable the organization to move forward and acknowledged that the constraints of the current constitution were highlighted during their most recent annual general meeting.

This review initiative reflects the commitment of TISI Sangam to adapt and evolve, ensuring that it remains relevant and effective in serving its community. The positive engagement from members during the consultation indicates a collective desire to enhance the organization’s governance and impact.

In essence, TISI Sangam’s proactive steps towards constitution review serves as a hopeful reminder of the importance of adaptability and collaborative decision-making within organizations, paving the way for a stronger future.
