TISI Sangam Fiji approves key financial reports at Special General Meeting in Ba
TISI Sangam Fiji adopted its key financial reports at a Special General Meeting held in Ba on Sunday. The accounts, which were originally set to be presented at the annual general meeting in April, were delayed because audits were still ongoing.
The reports approved on Sunday covered the Head Office, the Sangam Institute of Technology, the Sri Siva Subramanya Swamy Temple in Nadi, and the Saravana Bhavana restaurant division.
The meeting drew more than 170 Life Members from across Fiji and abroad, underscoring the strong ongoing commitment and unity within the Sangam family, according to a Sangam Fiji statement. The statement also thanked auditors HLB and Sangam Fiji’s Finance Board Members for their diligent assistance in finalizing the consolidated financials, and commended Head Office staff for their hard work in meeting deadlines to submit and compile all the records.
The Special General Meeting is described as another milestone in the organization’s journey, emphasizing accountability, transparency, and unity as the Sangam prepares for the years ahead, including the centenary celebrations in 2026.
What this signifies for the Sangam and its stakeholders is a reaffirmed commitment to clear financial governance and responsible stewardship of resources, values that resonate with Fiji’s broader push for improved financial accountability across organizations. The centenary milestone adds extra significance, highlighting the community’s dedication to sustaining strong governance as it looks toward the future.
Summary: TISI Sangam Fiji moves forward with audited financial accountability by approving key reports for its main entities, ahead of its 2026 centenary, signaling continued transparency and unity within Fiji’s community organizations.
Editor’s note: This development sits within a broader national context where communities and public institutions are increasingly prioritizing timely, transparent financial reporting. It reflects a positive trend toward stronger governance and public trust.
