The winning team, led by Shaeez Khan and supported by Maths teacher Ana Vatubula, celebrated their success. The assistant principal expressed pride in the achievement, attributing it to the hard work and dedication of both teachers and students.

Tilak’s Year 11 and Year 13 teams secured first place in their categories, while the Year 12 team finished in second place. Earlier in 2023, Tilak High School had already made an impression by becoming the zonal runner-up in a competition at SVC in Week 10 of Term 2, which set the stage for their national success.

Mr. Narayan emphasized the need for a shift in the school’s approach to mathematics, highlighting it as a motivating subject that offers endless possibilities.

The triumph at this competition reflects the tireless efforts of the Mathematics and Physics department staff, who dedicated considerable time to training the students. This accomplishment not only brings pride to Tilak High School but also serves as an inspiration for younger students aspiring to excel in mathematics.

As the team proudly held their trophies, they symbolized their hard-earned success and reiterated Tilak High School’s strong presence in academic competitions. With these notable achievements, the school continues to uphold its stature as one of Fiji’s leading institutions for academic excellence.
