TicketMax has emerged as the latest supporter of the 2024 Marist Old Boys Bazaar, showcasing a commitment to community engagement. This year’s bazaar is slated to take place at Saint Thomas Primary School in Lautoka from October 31 to November 2, 2024.
Founder of TicketMax, Mr. George Fong, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “As a Marist Old Boy, I am honored to support the 2024 MOB Bazaar and the Old Boys Association in their upcoming projects. We know that MOBs have made significant contributions to our country and continue to play key roles in nation building.”
MOB Lautoka President and Chairman of the 2024 Bazaar Committee, Mr. Lepani Ravoka, welcomed the corporate support and highlighted its importance to their future projects. “We are one week away from the Bazaar, and receiving sponsorships greatly contributes to our initiatives next year,” Ravoka stated.
He encouraged fellow Marist Old Boys, their families, and the Marist community to attend the Bazaar as an opportunity to reconnect and reminisce about their time at the school.
The scheduled program for the event is as follows:
THURSDAY
7 PM: Welcome Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, followed by a sevusevu presentation to the parish priest and the church.
FRIDAY
7 AM: All Saints Mass
9 AM: Community Work
12 PM: Picnic at Bekana Island
SATURDAY
9 AM to 4 PM: Bazaar at St. Thomas Primary School grounds.
The event promises to be both a reconnection opportunity and a celebration of the lasting impact of the Marist Old Boys within the community. This initiative not only fosters community spirit but also strengthens the relationship between past students and their alma mater.
As the bazaar approaches, it is evident that community-backed events like this one embody hope and solidarity, reinforcing the idea that together, they can make a difference in their communities.
