Ratu Kadavulevu School narrowly defeated Marist Brothers High School in an exhilarating Vodafone Super Deans U17 final, winning 35-34 at HFC Bank Stadium this afternoon.
The match was intensely competitive, with both teams exchanging tries throughout the game. RKS’s Tevita Rokosuka was a standout performer, scoring two of the twelve tries made by both teams. At halftime, RKS maintained a slight edge with a score of 21-17, and the tension continued in the second half.
Lemeki Ratuvukivuki increased RKS’s lead with a try, but Marist quickly countered with a try from Saverio Tavakai, bringing the score to 28-22 in favor of RKS. Sairusi Rokotuva added two more tries for RKS, while Semi Vuakilau’s contribution for Marist brought the final tally to a thrilling 35-34, allowing RKS to hold on for the victory.
