Exciting rugby action took place on Saturday at the USP grounds in Suva during the Suva Rugby Union club games.

In the sixth round of the FMF Koroturaga competition, Covenant Red claimed victory over Kalokolevu Green with a score of 12-0. Nabua White also had a strong performance, defeating the Taha team 17-10, while Queen Victoria School Old Boys triumphed against Fiji National University, finishing 25-5.

Draunivau Sharks secured a 20-0 win over Kalekana, but Nakavu faced a setback against Savura, losing 20-45.

In the FMF Escott Shield round nine, Marist OB achieved a win over Raiwaqa with a score of 25-15. Lami Cavaliers managed a narrow victory against Eastern Saints, winning 7-5, and Naqarani edged out USP with a close score of 19-18. However, Covenant Blues went down to Freshet Nazy, losing 22-11.

Freshet Navy celebrated their victory as they secured the Mosese Taga Shield.

As the round-robin matches progress in the Suva club games, the competition is expected to heat up in the coming week at the same venue.
