The national semifinals of the Vodafone Cup are set to take place this Saturday at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori. This follows a thrilling quarterfinal round last weekend, which saw top teams like the Dee Cees Nadera Panthers and the Saru Dragons eliminated from the competition.
In one semifinal match, the Waitaci Titans will compete against the Navy Albatross, who secured their spot by defeating the defending champions, the Saru Dragons, with a score of 27-18. In another matchup, the Ravoravo Rabbitohs will challenge the Vusu Raiders, both teams vying for a chance to reach the Finals.
FNRL Executive Chairman Akuila Masi expressed his excitement for the upcoming matches, stating, “Last weekend was a spectacle of rugby league talent, and we’re anticipating the semi-finals will raise the bar even higher. We invite everyone to come and experience the thrill and cheer on their favorite teams.”
Simultaneously, the FNRL Women’s Premiership semi-finals will also take place, featuring the Lami Steelers against the Yasawa Saints, and the Namoli West Tigers squaring off against the Police Sharks.
This double-header promises an action-packed day of rugby league for fans in Nausori.
