Ratu Kadavulevu School narrowly triumphed over Marist Brothers High School in a thrilling Vodafone Super Deans U17 final, winning 35-34 at HFC Bank Stadium this afternoon.
The match kept fans on the edge of their seats as both teams exchanged tries in an intense showdown.
Tevita Rokosuka was instrumental for RKS, scoring two tries among the twelve total attempts by both teams. RKS held a slight advantage at halftime, leading 21-17, and continued to battle fiercely in the second half.
Lemeki Ratuvukivuki extended RKS’s lead with another try, but Marist quickly answered back through Saverio Tavakai, bringing the score to 28-22 in favor of RKS.
Sairusi Rokotuva contributed two more tries for RKS, while Semi Vuakilau’s effort for Marist brought the final score to a nail-biting 35-34, with RKS securing a hard-fought victory.
