Ratu Kadavulevu School triumphed over Marist Brothers High School in a thrilling Vodafone Super Deans U17 final, winning 35-34 at HFC Bank Stadium this afternoon.
The match was a tense affair from the beginning, with both teams exchanging tries in a fiercely contested battle. Tevita Rokosuka from RKS was a standout player, scoring two of the twelve tries accumulated by both teams.
At halftime, RKS was slightly ahead with a 21-17 lead, and the intensity persisted into the second half. Lemeki Ratuvukivuki widened RKS’s advantage with an additional try, only for Marist’s Saverio Tavakai to respond swiftly, bringing the score to 28-22 in favor of RKS.
Sairusi Rokotuva contributed two more tries for RKS, while Semi Vuakilau’s effort for Marist brought the match to a thrilling conclusion at 35-34, securing a narrow victory for RKS.
