Three men are set to appear in court today for their alleged involvement in an aggravated robbery that occurred last month. The suspects are charged with stealing a vehicle, which was allegedly used in a robbery at the Lalita Bhindi sub-division in Vatuwaqa. During this incident, a safe and various electronic items belonging to a local businessman were taken.

Since the incident was reported, the Southern Division and Samabula task forces have been diligently working on several leads, which ultimately led to the arrest of the three individuals this week in Raiwaqa. The suspects, aged 36, 37, and 40, face multiple charges that include criminal trespass, aiding and abetting the theft of a motor vehicle, aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, aiding and abetting aggravated burglary, aiding and abetting aggravated robbery, and serious assault.

They will be presented at the Suva Magistrates Court for their formal hearing.

This case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement in ensuring public safety and holding individuals accountable for their actions. The collaboration between different police divisions exemplifies a commitment to tackling crime effectively. It’s a hopeful reminder that justice is actively pursued in communities.
