Three individuals were apprehended yesterday in connection with drug possession during distinct police operations in Lautoka and Nadi.
A 26-year-old mechanic from Sabeto Central and a 32-year-old man from Duna Place, Nadi, were intercepted by the Police K-9 Unit near Waiyavi, Lautoka. During the search, law enforcement officials uncovered two clear plastic bags containing a white substance believed to be methamphetamine.
In a separate incident, a Public Service Vehicle driver from Cunningham was arrested after police found marijuana seedlings in his possession. A subsequent raid on his home, conducted by the Fiji Dog Detector Unit and the Police K-9 Unit, led to the discovery of additional marijuana seedlings.
The three suspects are currently in police custody while investigations are ongoing.
