“The Sniper Aims for Glory: Singh’s Emotional Title Showdown Against Tonga”

Fiji’s Sebastian Singh, known as “The Sniper,” is set for his highly anticipated fight against “King” Tonga Tongotongo this Saturday. The two fighters will compete for the IBO Asia Pacific cruiserweight title at Prince Charles Park, and Singh feels prepared thanks to the extensive training his team has undergone.

“We’ve trained really hard for this fight, knowing exactly what we’re up against. It’s going to be tough, but we’ve left no stone unturned,” Singh expressed.

Having faced more challenging opponents abroad, Singh is feeling the pressure of fighting at home in front of local fans. “It’s always different fighting at home,” he said, adding that the support from the kids he coaches, his community, and family inspires him.

The bout holds personal significance for Singh, especially since his father is unwell. He views the potential victory as a deeply meaningful achievement. “This fight is not just for me, but for my dad, my team, and all the kids I work with,” he stated.

In terms of strategy, Singh plans to focus on dismantling his opponent, aiming for a stoppage in the later rounds. “I’ve fought fighters with better records than him before. It’s just another fight. We’ve done the hard work, and I believe it’ll show in the ring,” he said confidently.

Singh also looks forward to having boxing legend Sonny Bill Williams as the chief guest for the event. “I’ve fought on a show hosted by Sonny’s team in Australia, and hopefully, I can impress again and open up more opportunities abroad,” he remarked.

Despite the hype surrounding the fight, Singh is laser-focused on the task at hand. “I’m not looking past this fight. Right now, it’s all about getting through Tonga. After that, whatever comes my way, I’ll be ready,” he concluded.

Fans of boxing in Fiji and beyond will be eager to see if Singh can secure a victory, bringing pride not just to himself but also to his family and the nation.
