A new season of The Masked Singer has officially launched, showcasing a fresh lineup of secret celebrity performers each week. Season 14 debuted on Wednesday, featuring contestants who entertained panelists Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, and Rita Ora, along with host Nick Cannon.
In an unprecedented twist, the first unmasking occurred before the episode commenced, marking a first for the series. It was announced last month that Kylie Cantrall, known for her role in Ora’s Descendants, would be competing this season. Viewers discovered during the premiere that she would perform under the Cat Witch mask.
This season presents a diverse array of masked celebrities, including Pugcasso, 14 Karat Carrot, Queen Corgi, Croissants, Scarab, Snow Cone, Galaxy Girl, High Voltage, Eggplant, Owl, Calla Lily, Le Who Who, Stingray, Pangolin, Handyman, and Crane. All these contestants are in pursuit of succeeding the season 13 champion, Pearl, who was revealed to be Grammy-winning country artist Gretchen Wilson.
So far, the competition has seen the elimination of Googly Eyes, who was unveiled to be baseball legend David Ortiz, affectionately known as “Big Papi.” Additionally, the Croissants were also eliminated in the premiere but their identities will remain a mystery until the next episode.
Stay tuned for weekly updates as more celebrities are revealed throughout Season 14 of The Masked Singer, where surprises and excitement are guaranteed.
