The Leader of the People’s Alliance Party, Sitiveni Rabuka, has announced that General Secretary Usaia Waqatairewa is resigning from his role. Rabuka pointed to Waqatairewa’s inefficiency in his official duties and has stated his plans to seek Waqatairewa’s removal during the upcoming Management Board Committee Meeting. When approached for comment by FijiLive, Waqatairewa declined to discuss the situation. The Party recently held its Annual General Assembly in Lautoka. Updates on this matter will follow.
