Tension and Drama as Nasinu Upsets Ba in Fiery Encounter

Nasinu triumphed over football giants Ba with a 1-0 victory on their home ground in Round 12 of the Digicel Fiji Premier League, thanks to a strategic set piece play resulting in a goal by Adriu Nabose.

Nasinu took an early lead in the 11th minute when young Maikah Dau delivered a free-kick to Solomon Islander Don Keana in the attacking third. Keana then set up Nabose, who easily tapped the ball in for the goal.

Tension escalated at the Fiji FA Ba Academy grounds when Nasinu’s Savenaca Nakalevu threw punches at Kalaveti Sivoi and attempted to engage with the fans, leading to his red card.

Despite having a numerical advantage, Ba couldn’t capitalize, and the score remained 1-0 at halftime.

In the second half, Ba made multiple substitutions, but their situation worsened when Sivoi also received a red card in the 65th minute. With both teams reduced to 10 men, the score stayed at 1-0 until the final whistle.
