Telecom Fiji has announced a partnership with global ICT security provider Allot Communications to launch Fiji’s first network-based cybersecurity solutions for businesses. As one of the leading telecom companies in Fiji and the region, Telecom aims to provide advanced cyber protection capabilities to its customers.
In a statement released this week, Telecom Fiji noted that the new solution will help safeguard businesses against a wide array of cyber threats. These threats include malware attacks that can disrupt operations and steal sensitive data, ransomware that encrypts vital information and demands large ransoms for its release, phishing attempts aimed at acquiring login credentials and personal information, as well as harmful websites that can infect devices with malware or steal data.
Charles Goundar, CEO of Telecom Fiji, emphasized the increasing demand for advanced security solutions in the digital landscape. He stated, “Our partnership with Allot enables us to provide businesses with a robust and reliable cybersecurity solution, ensuring their operations and data remain protected against a wide range of cyber threats.”
Through this collaboration, Telecom will offer unified and managed cybersecurity solutions that function efficiently at the network level, providing an extra layer of protection against potential threats.
Dr. Weiming Li, Vice President of Sales for Asia Pacific at Allot, remarked that this partnership will introduce Allot Secure to businesses and communities in Fiji. He added, “Our network-based threat protection solution is designed to offer seamless and comprehensive security, enabling businesses to operate with confidence and resilience in the face of increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.”
The new cybersecurity solution is now available for purchase from Telecom Fiji.
