15-year-old Elesi Tabunase netted six goals in a commanding 12-0 win for Ba Women over Suva during the Women’s Super League doubleheader at Fiji FA Vatuwaqa Academy.
Ba’s aggressive play was evident from the outset, with Marama Senikauka opening the scoring in the 12th minute.
The team didn’t let up, as Luisa Tamani scored twice more in the 38th and 48th minutes.
Lupe Niubalavu added to the tally just before halftime, marking the 40th minute.
In the second half, Ba’s captain and winger, Koleta Likuculacula, further extended their lead with goals in the 60th and 80th minutes.
Despite several attempts, Suva Women’s team struggled to penetrate Ba’s defense and failed to muster enough offense to alter the game’s outcome.
In the earlier match of the doubleheader, Tailevu Naitasiri demonstrated their prowess by defeating Nadroga Women 3-0.
