Dedication and hard work have led Aanvi Prasad to become one of the highest achievers in the 2024 Fiji Eighth Year Examination. The talented Year 8 student from Lautoka Central Primary School achieved an impressive score of 491 out of 500. She attributes this success to her commitment and the sacrifices she made over the past year.
“Aiming to be the top scorer was my dream, and I put in the effort to make it happen,” Aanvi shared. “I created study timetables and remained focused on my education. I would often remind my parents of my goal to excel in my exams, and I’m thrilled to see that hard work pay off.”
At just 13 years old, Aanvi, who serves as the head girl at her school, acknowledged the challenges posed by her peers. “My competitors often told me that achieving the highest marks was impossible. There were moments when I felt discouraged, but I am profoundly grateful to my parents and teachers who supported me and encouraged me to believe that anything was attainable,” she said.
Ronil Prasad, Aanvi’s father, expressed immense pride in his daughter’s achievements. “I am a proud dad. The investment we made in her education has truly paid off. As a parent, witnessing such an accomplishment from our child is an incredible feeling,” he remarked.
Looking ahead, Aanvi plans to continue her academic journey at Natabua High School next year. Notably, she shares the honor of scoring 491 marks with Viola Ravutubananitu from Tagitagi Sangam School in Ba.
This story highlights the power of perseverance, support, and dedication to education. Aanvi’s inspiring journey serves as a reminder that with commitment and encouragement from loved ones, students can overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
