Fifteen-year-old Shane Ali is making the most of his school holidays by earning an income rather than staying idle. He has once again teamed up with his neighbor, Kishan Chand, to sell pineapples and watermelons, yielding approximately $30 a day.

Every school break, Shane expresses his willingness to assist Kishan, making this a cherished tradition for him. “The money I earn helps my family and gives me a sense of responsibility,” Shane shared, highlighting the positive impact his work has on his household.

Kishan Chand commends Shane’s work ethic, noting his dedication and reliability. “Shane is hardworking and dependable. You can see his dedication every day,” he remarked, emphasizing the young man’s commitment to their enterprise.

Despite their efforts, both Shane and Kishan have observed that business has not been as robust as in previous years. “Sales have been slower than before, but we remain hopeful for better days,” they stated, demonstrating their resilience in the face of challenges.

Pineapples continue to be their top-selling item, and they remain optimistic that sales will improve in the near future. This partnership not only showcases the spirit of entrepreneurship among youth but also reflects the importance of community support and hard work in overcoming adversity.
