The 2024 Fiji Golf Open Championship is set to take place from October 10 to 12 at the Fiji Golf Club in Suva, promising a weekend of competitive play, attractive prizes, and delicious meals.

Professional players will compete for a cash prize of $10,000, while amateurs will have the chance to win an equivalent amount in prizes. Golf Fiji president Amitesh Chandra indicated that the prize amounts might increase, raising the stakes for participants striving for championship glory.

Daily light lunches will be served for all players, and there will be cocktail receptions to celebrate the opening and closing of the event. Competitors will be outfitted with polo shirts and sleeves of golf balls to ensure they are prepared for every round.

The entry fee is set at $250 for this 54-hole stroke play event, which is open to both men and women. Importantly, the first 10 junior entrants will not have to pay any fees.

With only 120 spots available, interest is high, and fierce competition is anticipated. The championship, organized by Golf Fiji and endorsed by the World Amateur Golf Ranking, has attracted considerable interest from players and fans, supported by prominent sponsors such as Fiji Water, BSP, Coca-Cola, Tappoo, Crowne Plaza, Easy Par Golf, and Paradise Lightings, promising a top-notch experience for participants and spectators alike.
