The Caritas Fiji Golf Day, organized by the charitable branch of the Catholic Church in Fiji, is set to take place next month at the esteemed Denarau Golf Club in Nadi.
This annual event, themed “Christmas in November,” promises a day of golf, fellowship, and charitable giving. Ioane Sigarara, the Episcopal Vicar of Caritas Fiji, announced that the competition will adopt a team of four Scramble (Ambrose) format, designed to blend competitiveness with enjoyment for all golfers involved.
Fiji Airways has notably sponsored a grand prize for the winning team—a return trip to San Francisco—adding an extra thrill to the event. Other exciting prizes will also be up for grabs, ensuring that every participant has a chance to win something.
After a day on the green, participants can look forward to a delightful late lunch at the Denarau Golf Club, which will also host the prize-giving ceremony.
“All proceeds from the Caritas Fiji Golf Day will go towards supporting the charity’s vital work within the community,” Sigarara highlighted. He added, “Whether you are an experienced golfer or just starting out, this event presents a wonderful opportunity to have fun, create a positive impact, and enjoy a day with friends and colleagues.”
The event is scheduled for November 2.
