The Rotary Club of Suva is gearing up for an exciting Charity Golf Day, anticipating a turnout of 144 players tomorrow. President Laisa Digitaki highlighted the event’s strong community support, with all 18 holes sponsored by various corporate organizations across Fiji. These sponsors have consistently backed the event, allowing a team of four players to represent each hole.

Digitaki mentioned that the tournament will adopt an Ambrose format, featuring teams of four players—one from each sponsor paired with a registered team member—competing for victory. More importantly, this event aims to raise funds for a meaningful cause. The proceeds will contribute to the revitalization of the Cardiac Unit Cath Lab at CWM Hospital, a project the club began over a decade ago. This facility is crucial for local and international volunteer doctors and nurses who perform vital heart procedures, including stent placements and angioplasty.

Encouraging participation, Digitaki emphasized the purpose behind the game, stating, “Tee off with purpose. Play with heart. Give with impact.” She welcomes everyone, from seasoned golfers to newcomers, expressing that every contribution matters in making a positive difference in Fijian communities.

This event is not just about golf; it brings together participants who share a commitment to service and philanthropy. Every swing and putt on the course will play a part in driving impactful change within the community.

With a focus on community support and a passion for giving back, the Rotary Club of Suva’s Charity Golf Day promises to be a memorable occasion that combines sporting spirit with meaningful contributions to the health sector in Fiji.
