The Caritas Fiji Golf Day, organized by the charitable arm of the Catholic Church of Fiji, is scheduled for November 2 at the prestigious Denarau Golf Club. Arthur Groome, the director of Caritas, has announced that registration is still open for those interested in participating in this enjoyable competition.
This year’s event is themed “Christmas in November,” promising a day full of golf, friendship, and community spirit. Groome emphasized that the event is ideal for both experienced golfers and newcomers, offering a fun-filled day while making a positive difference.
The funds raised from last year’s golf day contributed to various charitable initiatives, including repairs at Saint Agnes Primary School in Samabula, aimed at improving the building’s safety and functionality as an emergency evacuation center during disasters in the Suva Nabua and Samabula East regions.
Groome expressed gratitude to the public for their generosity, stating that their support enables Caritas to help those in need now and in the future. He also extended thanks to the sponsors and donors whose contributions make this event possible and support their ongoing mission to assist others.
