She and her three siblings, aged 6, 10, and 15, reside at the school’s hostel, returning home every weekend to spend quality time with their father. Repeka expressed her deep gratitude to her father for his unwavering support, saying, “I dedicate my achievement to my father and wish him long life from God since he is the only one I have.”
Despite the challenges of raising a family alone, Mr. Balawa’s resilience shines through. He prepares breakfast and gets his younger children ready for school each morning, often rising at 4 a.m. Though the distance is tough, Repeka is grateful for the sacrifices her father makes for their family.
