“Team Fiji’s Rugby Sevens Champions Prepare for Paris Olympics”

The Team Fiji men’s rugby sevens team was warmly received at their training base in Libourne, France, earlier this week.

Philippe Buisson, the Mayor of Libourne, expressed great pride and honor in welcoming the defending Olympic Games gold medal champions in sevens rugby to the city.

“I thank the Fiji team for promoting the values of this sport to our young people,” said Buisson.

Under the guidance of coach Osea Kolinisau, the team will train in Libourne before moving to the Games Village ahead of the men’s sevens competition at the Paris Olympic Games, which starts on July 24.

The competition will take a break on July 26 for the official Olympic Games opening, with the finals set to commence on July 27.

Today, the Fiji men’s rugby sevens team will spend an hour with the public at the Moueix Stadium.
