Team Fiji Gets Boost Ahead of Pacific Mini Games!

The Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee (FASANOC) has received a generous sponsorship from the Motibhai Group of Companies as they prepare for the upcoming Pacific Mini Games scheduled from June 29 to July 9 in Palau. This support is timely as it includes essential Rexona hygiene packs for the Team Fiji contingent, which consists of 186 athletes ready to compete over a two-week period.

Chef de mission Josaia Tuimatana expressed gratitude towards Motibhai for their consistent support and highlighted the importance of these hygiene packs during the athletes’ stay in Palau. He noted, “They’re happy to receive your gifts today as this will be an essential part of their journey during their two weeks stay at Palau.”

Preparations for the games are progressing well, with athletes eagerly anticipating the competition ahead. This sponsorship underscores the growing trend of community support seen in various sports groups, as similar donations have been instrumental in enhancing athlete readiness across disciplines, such as the recent equipment donations to the Fiji Islands Baseball and Softball Association.

This collaborative effort reflects a strong commitment to fostering a supportive environment for athletes, ensuring they are well-prepared and equipped for success at the Mini Games. With such backing, Team Fiji aims not only to compete but to excel, showcasing their talents on the regional sports stage and fostering a sense of national pride.

As the competition nears, the excitement builds within the Fijian community, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and solidarity in achieving athletic excellence.
