The Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro, announced that 395 educators who have enhanced their qualifications will soon receive a partial salary upgrade. Specifically, they will get 50 percent of the upgrade amount in the coming days, with the remainder expected to be distributed in January 2025. This announcement was made during the Fiji Teachers Registration Authority Annual Congress held in Nadi.
Additionally, Radrodro mentioned that 103 Assistant Principals will benefit from an increase in their salary bands, distinguishing their roles from that of Heads of Departments. He expressed gratitude to teachers who have dedicated their efforts to improve their professional qualifications, emphasizing the importance of versatility and expertise in various subjects, including management. This commitment is crucial for the government, which aims to retain skilled educators, thus ensuring the timely payment of their dues.
