A total of 395 educators who have enhanced their qualifications are set to receive 50 percent of their salary upgrade payment shortly, with the remaining amount scheduled for January 2025. This announcement was made by the Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro, during the Fiji Teachers Registration Authority Annual Congress in Nadi.
In addition to this salary boost for teachers, Radrodro revealed that 103 Assistant Principals will also see an increase in their salary bands to distinguish them from Heads of Departments. He expressed gratitude to educators for their commitment to professional development, noting their efforts to become more versatile in both teaching and management. This recognition emphasizes the government’s dedication to retaining qualified personnel in the education sector.
