Education Minister Aseri Radrodro has announced a significant financial boost for teachers who have upgraded their qualifications, totaling $988,648.30 to be disbursed as part of the final pay for 2024. This initiative is in accordance with the Teacher Remuneration Policy and demonstrates the government’s commitment to enhancing the education sector.
For the upcoming financial year of 2024-2025, the total expenditure on these pay increments will reach $2.3 million. Eligible teachers will see a permanent upgrade in their salaries, moving them to either Band E, Step 1, or Band F, Step 3 within the Fiji Civil Service pay structure.
