The Fiji Meteorological Service has reported that Tropical Disturbance 04F currently poses a very low chance of evolving into a tropical cyclone within Fijian waters. At 3 PM today, TD04F was situated north of Vanua Levu and is progressing southeastward.
The meteorological agency indicated that an associated trough of low pressure remains stagnant over the northern regions of Fiji, leading to clouds and showers that are expected to impact the northern parts of the country until later tonight. Fortunately, a previously issued heavy rain warning for the Northern division, as well as a heavy rain alert for the Northern Lau group, have now been lifted.
It’s reassuring to see that the weather conditions are stabilizing, and the cancellation of rain warnings reflects a positive shift in the situation. Residents can feel relieved that there is no imminent threat from TD04F, allowing them to carry on with their activities without concern for severe weather disruptions.
