The Fiji Meteorological Service has reported that Tropical Disturbance 04F poses a very low risk of developing into a tropical cyclone while it is located in Fiji waters. At 3 PM today, TD04F was situated north of Vanua Levu and is currently moving southeast.
The meteorological service indicated that an associated trough of low pressure remains sluggish over the northern regions of Fiji, which could lead to cloud cover and showers affecting these areas until tonight. However, a previously issued heavy rain warning for the Northern division has now been lifted, along with a heavy rain alert for the Northern Lau group.
This update is reassuring for residents and tourists in Fiji, indicating that the weather may improve shortly and that the impacts from this disturbance will be minimal. As the situation develops, it remains important for those in affected areas to stay informed and heed any updates from the Fiji Meteorological Service.
