Tawake Makes Inspirational Comeback to Vodafone Fijiana Squad

Former Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women’s captain, Bitila Tawake, is thrilled to be back on the field after a two-month rehabilitation and is eagerly awaiting today’s challenging game against the Wallaroos.

Tawake, who was injured during the Super W grand final, has returned strong to aid her team’s preparation.

“I thank the higher power for giving me the patience to get through rehab. I am also grateful to the coaches and management for their support and for allowing me to come back for this crucial match against the Wallaroos,” Tawake said.

“Rehab was tough, and I had to be patient. My family kept asking when I would play again, but I told them to wait until I was fully ready.”

“It was hard watching my teammates play from the sidelines, but I’m thrilled to be back and excited for this upcoming match.”

“Playing against the Wallaroos is always challenging. We recognize some players from the Super W competition, and now they are all on one team, so it’s going to be a tough match. I can’t wait to get out there and give it my all.”

Tawake will start as the tight-head prop alongside Tiana Robanakadavu and Keleni Marawa in the front row.

In their last meeting, the Wallaroos secured a 22-5 win, but the Vodafone Fijiana are determined to deliver a stronger performance this time.

The match between Vodafone Fijiana and the Wallaroos is set for 6.45pm today.
