Tavua has secured promotion to the Premier Division for the 2025 domestic season following a decisive 3-0 victory over Bua in the second and final leg of the Digicel Senior League playoff held at Garvey Park.
Vilitati Kautoga opened the scoring in the 40th minute by capitalizing on a throw-in that found him just outside the 18-yard box. He struck the ball cleanly, giving Tavua a 1-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Manasa Nawakula increased Tavua’s lead in the 51st minute. The former Ba and Lautoka player skillfully maneuvered around a Bua defender in a 1-on-1 scenario and delivered a precise cross for Nawakula, who converted it into a goal, making it 2-0.
Ratu Sairusi Nalewadonu sealed the win with a goal in injury time, scoring in the 90+2 minute after a defensive mistake from Bua left the ball loose in the box. This secured a comfortable 3-0 victory for the Tavua team, coached by Dr. Diva Singh.
