The KGW-sponsored Tavualevu men’s netball team made an enthusiastic comeback in the sport by competing in the Salad Bowl netball festival yesterday. This participation is significant as the team has returned to netball after a five-year hiatus. Team captain Niko Tawake shared the excitement of his players at being back in the competition. “We are happy to be back after five years and to come and participate in this competition. The boys were excited to participate,” Tawake said. The team’s return has been impressive; just two months prior, they were runners-up at the Western Rally in Lautoka. Their performance at the Salad Bowl Festival reflects their renewed dedication and competitive drive. The Tavualevu men’s netball team aims to build on this momentum as they advance in the sport.
