The Tavualevu men’s netball team, sponsored by KGW, made a vibrant return to the netball court by participating in the Salad Bowl netball festival yesterday. This event marks an important milestone for the team, which resumed competing earlier this year after a five-year hiatus.
Team captain Niko Tawake expressed his team’s enthusiasm as they engaged in the one-day tournament. “We are happy to be back after five years and to come and participate in this competition. The boys were excited to participate,” Tawake stated.
The team’s comeback has been impressive; just two months prior, they finished as runners-up in the Western Rally held in Lautoka. Their performance at the Salad Bowl Festival showcased their renewed dedication and competitive spirit.
The Tavualevu men’s netball team is eager to build on this momentum as they continue their journey in the sport.
