Tavua football is actively preparing for the 2025 Premier League and is reaching out to supporters and the local community for their backing as they brace for upcoming challenges. Club secretary Vicky Kumar has indicated that the club has encountered financial difficulties following the resignation of their president last season.

Despite these challenges, a dedicated team comprising Kumar, vice president Hirdendra Kumar, and coach Diva Singh is working hard to ensure the club remains operational. Vicky Kumar stated, “Our focus right now is to recruit new players, secure a training ground in Tavua, and find sponsors to support us next season.” Currently, training takes place in Ba, but the club has submitted a request to the Tavua Town Council for a training ground closer to home.

Kumar expresses optimism about their future, noting, “The coach is here with us so that is fine, the only thing we are planning to do is to recruit some players to play for Tavua for the next season.” Vice president Hirdendra Kumar echoed this, stating the importance of strengthening the club’s management. He added, “We are looking to fill the vacant roles and then we can start working on the funding.”

The fans are encouraged to rally behind the team, particularly as they have been promoted to the Super Premier Division and aim to retain their position within it. The club is eager to re-establish ties with the community once a full management team is in place.

Overall, Tavua Football’s proactive approach and commitment to overcoming hurdles showcase their resilience and dedication. With community support and a strengthened management team, they are poised to navigate their challenges and achieve success in the league.
