A collaborative operation involving the Police Mobile Force (PMF), Fiji Detector Dog Unit (FDDU), and the Divisional operations team led to the apprehension of three individuals in Nadonumai today. The men were arrested on charges related to the unlawful possession of illicit drugs.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations Livai Driu reported that the task force executed two raids in the area. During the operation, authorities seized substances believed to be marijuana, equipment associated with packing illegal drugs, and gadgets suspected to be stolen.
The three suspects are currently in custody at the Lami Police Station as the investigation is ongoing. ACP Driu emphasized the importance of interrupting criminal networks, especially during the festive season, and highlighted the crucial role of public cooperation in combating drug-related activities. He encouraged community members to report any unusual activities to Crime Stoppers by calling 919.
In an era where drug-related crime is a significant concern, this proactive approach signifies a positive step towards enhancing community safety. By dismantling these networks, law enforcement aims to foster a safer environment for all residents, particularly during the holiday season.
This operation underscores the importance of community involvement in law enforcement efforts. As citizens remain vigilant and proactive in reporting suspicious activities, together, they can contribute to a safer and drug-free community.
