Tappoo emerged as the dominant force in the 2025 Lautoka Business House Netball competition, securing the championship title with a convincing 29–17 victory against Fiji Airways in the grand final held at the Lautoka Multipurpose Court on Thursday night.
The match was fiercely contested, but Tappoo exhibited remarkable discipline and composure, particularly in the second half, when they leveraged the strength of their formidable defensive unit to pull ahead. Their defenders were a constant menace for the opposition, expertly intercepting passes and forcing turnovers, which kept Fiji Airways under relentless pressure throughout the game.
Tappoo’s captain, Alipate Lagivala, credited their triumph to the team’s unwavering trust and commitment to their strategic approach. “Our game plan was to stick to our game plan. The competition was tough, but we just believed in ourselves and we believed in all our players that took that court,” he said.
