Tanoa Plaza Hotel recently hosted its annual Tanoa Kaachi Day, an event dedicated to celebrating the children of hotel staff with a day filled with joy, learning, and family bonding. This year’s celebration took place last Saturday and featured a variety of activities designed to foster connection and appreciation.
The day began with a guided tour of the hotel, allowing children to explore various facilities, including the kitchen, restaurant, bar, conference rooms, guest rooms, and service areas. General Manager Mere Rakoroi highlighted the significance of this tour, explaining that it allows families to gain insight into the hard work and dedication staff members put forth daily, especially during busy festive seasons.
Following the tour, children were treated to a special lunch featuring a menu of pizzas, burgers, fries, hotdogs, fresh fruit, and juices, ensuring that they had plenty of delicious options to enjoy. The excitement of the day continued with swimming, an activity that the children had eagerly been looking forward to, followed by the distribution of colorful party bags filled with treats.
Rakoroi emphasized that Tanoa Kaachi Day is a cherished tradition that reflects the hotel’s people-first values. It not only acknowledges the hard work of the staff but also honors the families who play a vital role in supporting them. This collaborative celebration serves as a reminder of the importance of community within the workplace, further strengthening the bonds between employees and their loved ones.
