Two men in their late 20s have been charged with aggravated robbery following a reported break-in at a residence in Tamavua last month. The suspects, aged 29 and 27, allegedly entered the home of a 46-year-old man on October 30, stealing cash, a mobile phone, and various personal items before fleeing the scene.
The police apprehended the duo last week, and they made their first appearance in Suva Magistrates Court on November 4. The court has ordered that both men remain in custody until their next scheduled appearance on November 18.
This incident underscores the persistent issue of home invasions in the area, prompting law enforcement to intensify their efforts to enhance community safety. It serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilance and community cooperation in preventing crime.
In a positive light, the prompt response from the authorities and the judicial system illustrates their commitment to addressing such criminal activities and ensuring the safety of residents.
