Two men in their late 20s have been charged with aggravated robbery following a reported break-in at a residence in Tamavua last month. The suspects, aged 29 and 27, allegedly entered the home of a 46-year-old man on October 30, taking cash, a mobile phone, and several personal items before fleeing the scene.

Both individuals were arrested the following week and appeared in Suva Magistrates Court on November 4, where the court decided that they would remain in custody until their next hearing scheduled for November 18.

This incident underscores the authorities’ ongoing efforts to tackle the increasing number of home invasions in the region. Law enforcement agencies are committed to ensuring the safety of residents and addressing crime proactively.

It’s hopeful to see that the community and authorities are coming together to combat such criminal activities, fostering a sense of security for the residents in Tamavua.
