The Fiji Rugby Union has officially named Talemo Waqa as the Acting Chief Operations Officer, effective immediately. Waqa comes with over 30 years of experience in sports leadership, high-performance management, and rugby development throughout the Pacific region. This extensive expertise is recognized by the Union as crucial for enhancing its operations and future programs.

Koli Sewabu, the chief executive of the Fiji Rugby Union, highlighted that Waqa’s appointment is timely, aligning with the organization’s ongoing growth and evolving goals. Sewabu noted, “Talemo’s experience and leadership make him exceptionally well suited to guide Fiji Rugby during this important phase of growth.”

The Union welcomed Waqa back, expressing optimism that his leadership will contribute significantly to Fiji Rugby’s development both on and off the field.
