“Tailevu’s Path to Progress: Unity and New Beginnings”

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka called on the people of Tailevu to strengthen their unity and renew their commitment to a shared vision for the future during the opening ceremony of the refurbished Ratu Cakobau House in Nausori. He highlighted that this upgraded facility embodies a fresh approach for Tailevu, signaling new beginnings and opportunities in the local business sector.

Rabuka emphasized the significance of this renovation, which cost $4 million and commenced in March of the previous year, as a symbol of progress and unity in the province. With the Ratu Cakobau House now standing as a testament to development, he reaffirmed the government’s commitment to support initiatives from the 14 provinces, driving economic growth and development.

He pointed out that this achievement lays a strong foundation for further projects that will enhance the welfare of the province and its residents.

In previous discussions surrounding Tailevu, Rabuka has pointed to various infrastructural improvements and ambitious plans in sectors like agriculture, fisheries, healthcare, and youth development. He remarked on the current state of traditional leadership roles in the community, noting that a significant number remain vacant, highlighting a need for collective action in filling these positions to foster community resilience and further development.

With these combined efforts, there is a hopeful prospect for Tailevu as it continues to pursue paths of progress and prosperity, ensuring that its residents are well-equipped to face future challenges together.
