Tailevu Naitasiri futsal kicked off the 2026 Extra Zonal Futsal League Southern Zone Championships with a thrilling 3-2 victory against a determined Nasinu futsal team. The match, held at the Fiji Football Futsal Court in Vatuwaqa on Wednesday night, captivated spectators with its high intensity and competitive spirit.
Vinayak Rao shone brightly for Tailevu Naitasiri, netting two goals, while Samisoni Rakuro added another to help secure the win. Despite a valiant effort from Nasinu, who fought fiercely until the final whistle, Tailevu Naitasiri’s composure and experience ultimately made the difference in their opening match.
Having reached their first-ever grand final in the 2025 Extra Futsal Inter-District Championship, Tailevu Naitasiri is looking strong and well-prepared for another successful season. The team has maintained a solid roster, retaining key players like Kritesh Prasad, Shivneel Chand, Ravikaash Rajan, and Shail Krishna, who bring valuable experience to the squad.
