Tailevu Naitasiri FC has ascended to ninth place in the Digicel Fiji Premier League standings after securing a vital 1-0 win against Nasinu FC in round 15.
The match was fiercely competitive, but a single goal proved sufficient for Tailevu Naitasiri to clinch all three points. This win provides them with motivation to advance further in the standings, bringing their total to 12 points, bolstered by a superior goal difference over Nasinu FC.
Rewa FC maintains its lead at the top of the table with 31 points, followed closely by Labasa FC with 29 points. Lautoka FC holds third place with 25 points after playing 14 matches.
Last weekend, league leaders Rewa FC, second-placed Lautoka FC, Rooster Chicken Ba FC, and Nadroga FC had a break due to the national team camp, where five players from Lautoka and Rewa are preparing for the upcoming FIFA International “A” Friendlies Tri-Nations Series, featuring Fiji, Hong Kong-China, and the Solomon Islands next month.
The Digicel Fiji Premier League will take a one-week break and is set to resume on September 14.
