The General Secretary of the People’s Alliance Party has announced that internal procedures are being initiated to evaluate the situation of Lynda Tabuya, a party member and Member of Parliament. Tabuya’s recent dismissal from her cabinet position followed the leak of an explicit video that circulated online.
Balawa provided an update indicating that a disciplinary committee is actively working in accordance with the party’s constitution to address the matter. He assured that Tabuya will have the opportunity to present her side of the story to the committee.
This committee, consisting of six members, including women, has been allocated a time frame of 21 days to complete their investigation and report back to party leadership.
