The General Secretary of the People’s Alliance Party has announced that internal procedures are being initiated to evaluate the situation regarding Lynda Tabuya, a party member and parliamentarian. This action follows Tabuya’s recent dismissal from her cabinet position after a private video was leaked online.
According to Balawa, discussions were held to provide updates on Tabuya’s case, stating, “The disciplinary committee is proceeding according to the party constitution.” Tabuya will have an opportunity to present her side of the story in front of the committee, highlighting the party’s commitment to due process.
