Sydney Suva has secured its place in the semifinals of the Rams Group of Companies Sanatan World Cup after a 2-1 victory over New Zealand Sanatan during their quarterfinal match.

Pranesh Goundar opened the scoring for the local team with an early goal, but New Zealand Sanatan equalized late in the second half through Issac Kumar, pushing the match into extra time.

Lachlan Lal, who came off the bench, netted the decisive goal for the team led by coach Sanjeev Singh, with administration by Nick Sharma and Moshin Nabi.
